¿ä¾à2 This study suggests a plan for Hanok survey and Informatization to provide intergrated service. Despite boosting Hanok market and increasing demands for Hanok policy measures, still, there is a concern over demolition of Hanok as a result of mindless development. The absence of nationwide Hanok statistics make policies for Hanok and New-Hanok abstract and analysis and management of Hanok ill-founded.Based on the circumstances above, this study aims to provide a plan to collect and systematize nationwide Hanok data building public trust. Hanok database refers to all the tangible/intangible information on Hanok status. The extent of it is huge; statistical information such as geographical distribution, year of construction, and floor area, building information shch as survey maps, and project information such as market situation and Hanok policy measures. Thus, the Hanok Informatization needs long-term plans. A prerequisite for systematization of Hanok database is categorization of data. The following subjects can be a basis for data sorting; contents, the process of acquisition, type of media, geographical reference, the purpose of records, etc. However, this categorization has flaws in that the purpose and use of collected data is obscure and that there is not a clear criterion for the extent of it. In this study, to clarify the extent of Hanok database, a research on information needs was practiced by surveying scenarios of each user group. Based on the scenarios, Hanok database was systematized in accordance with the needs of users, while promoting information flow by collection, accumulation, processing data. To filter contents of Hanok database conforming to the information needs, diverse scenarios were planned. As a first step, issues were drawn by anaylzing current worldwide architectural ¡¤ urban information websites and national research works beyond architectural field. Based on these, concrete types of Hanok database users were assumed and each scenarios for each were built. For example, several series of questions were created by the assumed groups such as government officials in charge of Hanok policy, architects, and people who want to experience Hanok, to live in Hanok, and to study Hanok, based on the different needs of each group for Hanok database. The filtered contents can be the practical information for every activities supporting promotion and preservation of Hanok. To complete each contents, the source and collecting measures of information should be considered first. In other words, methodology of Hanok survey has priority over all other things, and it is effective to make the order of data input corresponding to the order of Hanok survey. Thus, this study classify Hanok information according to the hierarchy and order of Hanok survey. Hanok survey is classified into basic survey and detailed survey on the basis of depth and and difficulty, and categorized into five stages in order; pre-survey, basic field survey, detailed field survey, field measurement, dismantling of Hanok. Basic Hanok survey consists of two steps ; pre-survey and basic field survey. This provides basic database and statstics of nationwide Hanok via total inspections. Pre-survey, the first step searches for buildings possibly being categorized as Hanok by collecting information from websites and satellite images, without visiting sites. Basic field survey is a step conducted by non-professional researchers on the basis of pre-survey results. This aims to judges the status of Hanok by recording the external characteristics and street-scapes, thus it does not need permissions by residents. By conducting two initial stages of Hanok survey, current distribution statistics of Hanok such as numbers, density, and the degree of dilapidation can be analyzed. The result would have practical use in observing time-based transformation of Hanok villages which are supported by policy. Detailed Hanok survey covers three steps of detailed field survey, field measurement, and dismantling of Hanok. Detailed field survey is a step for researcher to record lifestyles of the residents by interviewing building owners. Field measurement is a stage of conducting hand measurement with instrumental survey control and producing maps with basic dimensions. Dismantling of Hanok is for detailed maps with construction dimensions of buildings. As results from the survey are for the professional use, educational qualification should be required to the researchers even though the qualifications can be varied according to the characteristics of the survey. Contrary to the case of detailed Hanok survey, basic hanok survey ,dealing with massive information, is conducted by non-professional researchers, thus it needs a manuel for Hanok Survey. For that reason, this study developed a data input system using registered building data, certificate of land use plan, official land values, satellite images, and internet street views. Also a manuel for Hanok survey comprising guidances for recording building materials and site condition was produced. To test the operations of Hanok survey manuel and Hanok informatization plan, a pilot survey and web-service was applied to the 11th district of Gahoe-dong. Because of the diversity in landscape plan, land planning, land shape, and historical records this district was estimated as a suitable one to get successful feedbacks from the test. Flaws revealed in the process of application of Hanok survey is projected to hanok survey manuel. Also, checklists for Hanok surveys are updated. 55 buildings with possibly being Hanok were selected. The following basic field survey confirmed 52 Hanok among them. The practicality of Hanok database service was tested by applying scenarios to the service. Hanok database service can be used not only for the results from the survey but also for data input. Lastly, a road map for Hanok survey is planned, suggesting survey period, survey cycle, and systematic process. National Hanok Center will start Basic Hanok survey continuously From 2012. For this, a way to make use of current administrative database was devised for the estimation of costs and periods of survey. Hanok database is expected to be a ground for differentiating Hanok from general buildings, to provide a basis for Hanok policies, and policy measures, and promoting Hanok.
