This study investigated and analyzed the space composition, characteristics of exhibition presentation, experience method and the present situation of the exhibition medium centering on the experience space of exhibition which is managed for the children in the museums in Gyeongsang-do district. Together with this, this study is aimed at providing basic data as the directivity and guideline in exhibition presentation planning of the experience space for children by grasping the experience viewing characteristics of juvenile viewers. For this purpose, this study carried out on-site survey on the target exhibition space, and as a result of measuring their viewing frequency & time according to an experience exhibition item, this study obtained the results as follows: First, this study was able to classify the conspicuously appearing experience patterns into hands-on type, experiment type, participation type, performance type, playing type, interactive and space experience, and there appeared a difference in viewers' experience method and viewing time according to the space composition of each experience exhibition space and experience pattern. Amongst all, the exhibition items, for which the digital exhibition medium wasn't used at all, gained a high viewing rate and appeared only a little in standard deviation of viewing time. In contrast, in case of the experience exhibition using interactive exhibition medium appeared lower in its viewing rate in comparison with other experience exhibition patterns. In addition, in case of the exhibition items drawing viewers for longer time than other items, this study judges that it's possible to solve the occurrence of crowdedness in human traffic for viewing by placing the items in dispersion. |
