The purpose of this study was to propose plans for the restoration of the old town of Cheonan city by reflecting the opinions of its residents. For that purpose, a survey was taken with 230 local residents. The survey results show that the local residents placed huge importance on the improvement of street space and thus the organic connections among the major facilities and that they had very high interest in resident participation but preferred cooperation with the government and experts to autonomy-based approaches. |
