요약2	This study aims to analyze tectonic concepts and expressional characteristics in architectural spaces of Herzog and De Meuron. An approach from the perspective of existentialism ontology would be find to explore the essence of expressional characteristics in their architectural spaces. Especially, the tectonic viewpoint is one of ways to explore them. First of all, this study considers general, conceptual features of tectonic from the modern and classical views. As a tectonic with an ontological meaning, not a general one, their architectural spaces have logics and standpoints close to the essence. This study then extracts characteristics of methodologies what they want to express architecturally with their essential views of architecture through analysis of works and discusses them.
