Digital architecture is commonly known as the architecture which is based on a computer that works with an operation of machine. The study is to examine the process of form-making in digital architecture and to find its basic meanings. Digital architecture is developed as a parallel of the development in history of the interaction of art and technology. By the means of digital architecture various meanings and parametric are transferred directly into architecture more than any other traditional ways. Its mechanical process of computation is an only physical base to create an emergent form And self-organizing methods are added to create rich forms, which is not possible to achieve in a traditional method. Various methods can be categorized as ¡®representative¡¯ and ¡®generative¡¯, both are based on mechanical process of digital architecture. The study also found the meaning of digital architecture equivalent with the painting method of Jackson Pollak and Andy Wahol, as well as high-tech architecture. |
