The exhibition industry which recently has been receiving the spotlight abroad is assessed to have entered the growth phase with a quick rise after year 2000 after having gone through the introductory period of 1990's after the quickening of the exhibition industry at the beginning of 1980 with its development that began at the signal of the Daejeon World Exhibition of 1993. At present, the Korean exhibition industry lacks significantly in qualitative achievements when compared to quantitative achievements. Of course, there are various systems established according to the developments of exhibition design organizing methods, production, and installing methods through some preceding studies related to exhibition, but it is true that the wholistic management through exhibition management process which is prerequisite for this field is now considered yet. There is research on the concept arrangement and the performance system of the overall exhibition industry, and the drawing up of the inspection process of exhibition design thought to be necessary for the problems mentioned before on the progress of the exhibition industry. Especially, the research had progressed with the derivation of the process through the analysis of the experts on the Science Museums selected as case studies thought to be able to show most of the exhibition industry contents, as the objective. With the project management analysis on the facility through the previous studies, the completeness of the research will increase by finishing the analysis on the project management application of the exhibition design process. |
