¿ä¾à2 The general inference of evacuation time is focused on estimating the time occupants escape from the living area to staircase. However, as the safe egress completes when occupants leave the building, evacuation time in a staircase is very important. This paper introduces a web-based software, Stochastic Evacuation Time Simulation (WSES), developed to estimate evacuation time in staircase. The WSES can simulate discrete-event based on user input data. Users can input building's information, occupant's BMI value, speed of vertical evacuation, decrease-speed rate by stamina, and size of staircase. The WSES supports several probabilistic methods and web-tested environment. The WSES provides the following benefits for users: (1) to estimating probabilistic evacuation time in staircase based on user's information (2) to retain objectivity by web-based simulation.
