Although Korea government has emphasized the necessity of green buildings, many people show indifference due to top-down and government-directed development. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to find out environment-friendly outdoor factors in the apartment complexes that was certified green building apartment complexes and was maintained and managed by resident participation, and to figure out the awareness of environment-friendly outdoor factors of residents who lived in the complexes, and, moreover, to know the level of consciousness and attitude of residents to maintain their environment-friendly apartment complexes. In its final analysis, this study has the last purpose to suggest the revitalization of community sense among residents to keep their apartment complexes sustainable environment-friendly. The major findings of this study were that: 1) The awareness of environment-friendly outdoor factors of residents was rather low, but their intention of participation was high and positive if they could find proper conditions. 2) The ideas of residents about the methods to maintain environment-friendly outdoor factors were distributed diversely, but they haven't recognized the effect of the methods. 3) As a result, the effort to maintain environment-friendly outdoor factors were just in the phase of inception, and needed to have a priority to educate people and let them get an interest in keeping their green apartment complexes sustainable environment-friendly. |
