Asbestos has superior insulation, flexibility, abrasion resistance, tensile strength, electrical insulation properties Also due to economic reasons, asbestos has been widely used to building materials. Specially prior to the 1970s asbestos was mainly use in roof cement slate. However, asbestos has been identified as hazardous materials, the use of asbestos has been prohibited. In addition, the distribution of urban population and buildings are concentrated, and asbestos can affect many people by weathering of the asbestos cement slate. After asbestos is melted by the rain, asbestos flow into sewer through the floor made of concrete and asphalt. Therefore, this study investigates distribution of asbestos cement slate of housing by type of construction in Daegu. |
