Since late 21th century, there are ongoing studies about the sustainable development and cultural facilities for revitalization of old urban area. With the rapid growth of the tourism industry, cultural oriented architectural facilities and urban regeneration reflecting regional social context become key elements to deliver quality place. The purpose of this study is to find out the architectural planning method for making city infrastructure of Culture & Arts based on the sustainable urban tourism. For this purpose, the paper investigates definition of the sustainable development and relationship with modern tourism. Moreover, comprehensive methods and strategies focused on the architecture are suggested for practical implementation. The result of this study are summarized as : First, Boutique hotel strategy based on sustainable tourism can make urban regeneration have multiple points. Second, balanced and development can be reached by considering it as social trends, regional context and public space. Lastly, development of growth pole with it help local community to enrich identity and strengthen city competitiveness. |
