As Korea has undergone rapid modernization, urbanization and industrialization, women's social participation has increased. Accordingly, child care facilities have shown continues growth in numbers. The purpose of this study is to suggest a guideline for universal design in child care centers. The child care centered universal design in access & movement, convenience and safety were examined through the field survey with the questionnaire of design. To realize this, the method to infants inconveniences and problems was studied on the assumption that inconvenience would be decreased. The evaluating method suggested in this paper could be helpful to realize child care facilities which many infants can use conveniently, if it is utilized in business of national levels to improve universal design of child care facilities which are, recently, increased quickly. |
