In this study, an automated prestress-force monitoring system by using wireless impedance sensor node (WISN) and interface washer is proposed for prestressed concrete (PSC) girder bridges. To achieve this goal, the following approaches are implemented. First, a WISN was designed for automated and cost-efficient prestress- force monitoring in PSC girder bridges. Second, a prestress- force monitoring technique using an interface plate was proposed to overcome limitations on measurable range of the WISN. Finally, the applicability of the proposed system was evaluated in a lab-scaled prestressed concrete (PSC) girder model with an internal tendon. |
