Various BIM project cases from both domestic and abroad shows that BIM process applied into construction process can be a sophisticated method to make project stakeholders including owner, contractor and designer get benefit under the win-win strategy. US and Europe known as advanced countries have established general foundation which makes best use of potential advantages of BIM. However, Korea tends to focus on only application of successful elements obtained through BIM cases without establishing general foundation which helps conducting a BIM process. Based on case studies of both domestic and abroad BIM projects, this research will deduce fundamental components to efficiently run the BIM process and adoption strategy for better BIM application will derive from these components. The adoption strategy from this research is expected to be used as preceding system to construct process based on BIM. |
