Recently, the importance of sport and leisure complex is being emphasized, because it is centripetal space which can generate holistic health of human. In an urban regeneration process, especially, there is a point that the sport and leisure complex supports residents’ health in a daily living zone. The purpose of this research is 1) to analyze the residents-participation techniques used for mapping out a planning strategy for the sport and leisure complex; and 2) to identify the suitability to promote holistic health of community and residents, and to analyze the research techniques used in the process by examining planning process of sport & leisure complex developed for holistic community regeneration. As a research method, content analysis of Recreation, Sport and Leisure Strategy Report has been done and additionally Ballymun Regeneration Progress Report and Ballymun Regeneration Completion Report were referred. Consequently, each planning process of sport & leisure center in Ballymun was analyzed and considered in the view of holistic health; the demand of end-user residents could be identified through semi-professional residents in the community. |
