The purpose of this paper is to introduce Urban Regeneration Projects through Historical Environment in old downtown of the city of Incheon; Incheon Art Platform Project. For this purpose we made an analysis frame based on theoretical study and research on foreign cases of Urban Regeneration Projects through Historical Environment such as ‘the Daishanzi 798’ in Beijing(China), ‘the Meat Packing’ in New York(USA) and ‘the Acarenca Warehouse’ in Yokohama(Japan). The paper is to present some meanings as followings. ‘The Incheon Art Platform Project’ is a public oriented project, but it is not enough in reusing of existing buildings and legal supporting programs for inviting of artists. So, we suggested three parts of improvements on legal supporting programs, planning and design on reusing of existing buildings and citizen participation programs. |
