The modern industrialized society has contributed to improve the quality of people's life. However, this is only partial true. The elderly in this aging society are losing their jobs and self-esteem as well, becoming isolated themselves and in turn causing a serious social problem which we, all generations together, need to solve now. The purpose of this study is to examine the seriousness of problems of the aged people in the aging society. With the findings from the examination, this study explores the solution to the problem. Finally, a community center is proposed to improve the intergenerational communication, not only having all the facilities and infrastructures required by the aged people but facilitating communication between generations. |
