One of the remarkable trend in major historic cities is transformation of Registered modern architecture into museum. Recent several remodeling cases show practical conservation technique of domestic modern architecture. In the other hand, central area in modern era become deteriorating rapidly during last 20 years. Most active program to revitalization central historic area is to remodel historic buildings such as modern architecture into cultural facilities. The aim of this paper is to present remodeling design criteria for ex-bank building constructed in 1931 in Daegu metropolitan city. Proposing function for this building is to use as a museum of city history from end of 19c to middle of 20c focused on Daegu city. The research methods are as follow ; 1) analysis of present regional context around the building, 2) museum survey of remodeling cases in domestic and zoinng 3) analysis of every spaces of the building. |
