This study aimed to explore the theory of proportion reflected on the plans of Ando Tadao¡¯s housing projects and the results from the study are as follows. First, from the results of analyzing Ando Tadao¡¯s cases, differences from the theoretical proportion were observed. However, in most cases, the proportion values in his works were very close to the theoretical proportion within error range of . It can be inferred that Ando Tadao took into account the proportion on house plans. Second, as for mass, there appeared proportion rectangles with similar rectangle ratio(40%), integer ratio(30%) and root ratio(30%) and for rooms, there were proportion rectangles with root ratio(48.8%), integer ratio(44.0%), golden ratio(6.0%) and similar rectangle ratio(1.2%). Third, for the root ratio rectangle and integer ratio rectangle that were most frequently appeared in rooms, rectangle(70.7%) was most frequently used for root ratio rectangle while 1:1 rectangle(56.8%) was most frequently used for integer ratio rectangle. |
