The purpose of this study was to analyze preferences of views depending on the apartment styles on Han riversides. For this purpose, the researcher selected 10 apartment complexes out of those built since 2000 and thereupon, surveyed urban designers, architects and landscape designers for their assessment of the riverside views. For the survey, the researcher suggested 14 pairs of the adjectives describing the views out of the adjective set used for assessment of views. As the above findings suggest, it is deemed necessary to set the main block as tower type, the roof as decorative type and the skyline as diverse, while improving the sense of openness and using the curtain wall type window for the elevations in order to provide for finer views. In particular, as the results of this study suggest, an apartment complex with diverse skylines and a strong sense of openness was assessed to command the finest views. Based on the findings of this study, it is recommended for apartment architect designers to diversify the skylines and make open the views most of all. |
