The objective of this paper is to check the reliability of nonlinear analysis program Perform3D, by comparing the analytic results with those of shaking table tests performed on 1:12 scale 17-story RC building model. The analysis simulated the governing behavior modes and stiffness degradation very well, but showed some limitations in simulating the contribution of transverse frames to the torsional resistance and the bias in the overturning moment transverse to the direction of excitations. |
