The improvement projects only for sufficient of highly economic growth since 1960s, suddenly urbanization and industrialization, and demand of physical foundation can't actually deal with the urban capacity efficiently. Accordingly, recently urban renaissance projects that is enforcing Urban and Residential Environment Act is needed for efficient urban management and sustainable urban development. Therefore it is needed to study urban renaissance policy and case of advanced country that is possessing preceding technologies and experiences. Especially by analyzing the background of enforcing the urban renaissance as national policy and the case of urban renaissance of main cities of Japan that is confronted with long term depression after the burst of the bubble, we should have to consider improvement of our improvement projects and the way to introduce urban renaissance. Moreover, we should have to study what enforcement plan they present to promote and induce private investment, and what implication urban renaissance in Japan shows by focusing the aspect of urban development on intensive strategy. |
