This work sets out to analyze differences from region to region(facility to facility) in terms of the characteristics of usage by residents in the 20 Life Support Houses(Residential Part) for the Elderly, located in depopulated regions of Oita Prefecture, Japan. According to the survey results, the total number of residents were found to be 487 households(188 households currently residing, and 299 households who had moved out) since facilities were established. After 1 year passed from the time of facility establishment, the proportion of the residence of facilities reached about half(53.2%), while after 5 years passed, it increased to a stable level(76.0%) for business. As for the usage status of facilities, 5 items(average residential period, possibility of moving back in, choice of dwelling after moving out of facility, causes for moving out of facility, and frequency of visiting the previous residential area) were considered, and they showed a great difference one facility from another. In addition, facility usage characteristics of residents may be categorized into permanent residence type(5 facilities), semi-permanent residence type(8 facilities) and non-permanent residence type(6 facilities). |
