¿ä¾à2 Recently, The apartment balcony serves as important green zone, place of refuge, and thermal buffer zone between outdoor and indoor. Apartment balcony has been doing indiscreetly remodeling since the government permitted remodeling on January 2006. But remodeled balcony has a few problems such as increment of heating energy, dew condensation and cold draft. The reason of thermal problem is caused by window of apartment balcony. Currently, The established windows of apartment balcony are single clear glass, double clear glass, double low-e glass, triple clear glass and triple low-e glass. But, many problems are caused that most double clear glass has been using on balcony in disregard of thermal characteristic due to economical reason. The purpose of this study is to analyze the thermal characteristics and propose the efficient window according to kinds of window of apartment balcony. The DOE-2.1E are used for energy calculation which is able to evaluate whole building energy performance with the link of LBNL Window and Therm programs. The simulation model is an apartment with a floor space of 35 pyeong. The results of analysis, compared double clear glass with double low-e glass, triple clear glass and triple low-e glass, reduced 20.5%, 13.4% and 25.2% of heating energy than double clear glass. Compared double clear glass with single clear glass increased 22.6% of heating energy than double clear glass. finally, pointed of heating energy, the efficient windows of expanded balcony are double low-e glass and triple low-e glass aspect of heating energy
