북촌지역은 앞선 선행연구들에서도 밝혔듯이 여전히 옛 도시조직과 도시한옥이 잘 남아있는 지역으로 보존적 가치가 큰 주거지역이다. 그러나 도시한옥은 한때 소위 집장사들에 의해 만들어진 집으로 부정적으로 평가되기도 하였다. 그것은 전통한옥과 비교해서 격이 떨어지고 구축방식이 생략되거나 간략화 되었다는 비판에서 출발한다. 이러한 비판은 도시한옥을 전통한옥의 아류나 복제의 대상으로 보거나 전통한옥과 도시한옥을 동일한 대상으로 생각하는데서 기인한다. 물론 두 한옥은 형태 및 재료 그리고 구법에서 유사하다. 그럼에도 불구하고 두 주거유형 사이에는 분명한 차이가 있다. 이러한 차이로 부터 본 논문에서는 도시한옥을 보다 정확하게 이해할 수 있도록 도시한옥에 나타나는 목구조 구축방식의 특징을 정리하고자 하였다. 먼저 기둥상부의 결구방식에 주목하였다. 그래서 기둥상부를 구축방식에 따라 5가지(소로수장굴도리집, 소로수장납도리집, 장여수장굴도리집, 자여수장납도리집, 민도리집)로 나누었으며 그 특징들에 대하여 정리하였다. |

We have focused our study on the construction method of traditional urban housing in Bukchon, Seoul from 1930's to 1960's. The new housing type(traditional urban housing) based on the traditional housing type had been evolved in new context. Sometimes We confused that Hanok(traditional korean roof tile house) and traditional urban housing were same features because that two types have a number of resembling things, but they are different each other with the construction method and a lot of characteristics. This differences help us to understand the traditional urban housing. the construction method is a inclusive word that contain materials, composition, ornament and social common sense. The more that is understood about the construction method of traditional urban housing, the more it is possible to discover how to make, why to appear in the urban area and what the traditional urban housing has a meaningful worth in our residential area |
