There is a change in the paradigm of Development of Seoul. Instead of Landscape Planning for large-scale development, the rise for the need of a new urban development and management program that is environment friendly. It is necessary to make Ecological Landscape Planning for the absence of environmentally friendly urban management resources (with detailed environmental planning), especially the absence of environment friendly planning and management program of the pre-existing urban district. Ecological Landscape Planning, an Environmental Planning applied to the District Unit Planning or Improvement Planning of Seoul, is defined as follows: Environmental Planning in the form of spatial planning that aims to preserve and restore the natural environment and its ecological function of a particular area in the Seoul Metropolitan City Urban Planning District and Prerequisite planning in order to apply the Biotope Area Rate in a systematically and effective manner, with the aim to preserve and restore the natural environment and its ecological function of a particular area in the existing urban district. How the Ecological Landscape Planning can be applied to the District Unit Planning or the Improvement Planning is shown in this paper. |
