사용자 측면에서 본 노인병원 디자인 / User-focused Healthcare Design for the Elderly / D노인병원에 대한 사례조사를 중심으로 |

노인 인구가 증가함에 따라 노인전용시설들이 등장하고 있으며 이중 하나가 노인병원이다. 노인이 되면 노화현상이 나타나고 노화현상 중 많은 부분이 의료서비스를 필요로 한다. 따라서 대부분의 노인주거단지나 노인센터에는 의료서비스가 기본 서비스로 제공되고 있으며 단독 노인병원도 증가할 전망 이다.
한편 의료시설을 디자인할 때는 환자, 직원, 간병인, 방문객 등 사용자의 특정한 환경요구를 고려해야 한다. 그러나 이제까지 대부분의 병원 디자인은 사용자에 대한 배려가 부족하였으며 특히 환자와 방문객에 대한 배려가 부족 하였다. 따라서 병원을 이용하는 많은 환자들은 자신의 질병에서 오는 심리 적 고통 외에 물리적 환경으로 인한 심리적 불편함이 가중되어 치료기간이 오래 걸리는 것은 물론이고 병원 가기를 꺼리는 경우까지도 생겨났다. 최근 들어 이러한 문제점을 인식하고 환자중심의 디자인이 되어야 한다는 주장이 병원 디자인 분야에서 강하게 주장되고 있다. 외국의 경우, 병원디자인 계획 시 종래의 의술중심의 기능적인 면뿐만 아니라 치료의 중심인 환자의 심리적 측면을 많이 고려하여, 따뜻하고 매력있는 분위기를 조성하는 등 환자를 위한 디자인을 하는 경향을 보이고 있다. 우리나라의 경우는 전국민 의료 보험 제도화로 인한 병원수의 증가와 병원의 진료내용 및 서비스 수준의 변화로, 환자중심의 병원환경을 위한 연구가 계속되고 있다. 또한 환자나 병원 의료진들에게 기능적으로나 심리적으로 만족감을 주는 환경을 조성 하고자 하는 노력이 계속되고 있다. 이는 병원의 디자인이 환자의 치료효과 에도 큰 영향을 미치기 때문이다.
특히 노인환자의 경우 대부분이 활동이 어려워 휠체어를 사용하고 있고, 노인환자의 배회특성과 관찰보호 요구 등에 따라 일반병원과는 다른 시설조건을 필요로 한다. 노인병원은 주된 사용자가 노인이므로 60세 이상 노인들의 신체적 특성은 물론 사회적 및 심리적 특성을 배려한 계획이 되어야 한다. 그러나 현재 제공되고 있는 노인병원들은 이러한 노인 환자에 대한 배려 뿐 아니라 방문객과 의사및 간호사 등의 사용자 측면에 대한 배려가 미흡한 실정이다. 최근 들어 노인전문병원들이 일부 세워지고 있고 정부에서도 이들 시설을 장, 단기 계획으로 확충해 나갈 계획이지만, 현재 노인전문병원의 시설기준은 의료법의 요양병원 기준을 거의 그대로 적용 하고 있어 노인의 특성을 반영하기에는 많은 문제점을 갖고 있다.
이에 본 연구는 노인병원 디자인에 대한 사용자의 반응을 기초로 사용자를 고려한 노인전문병원 디자인 지침을 모색해 보고자 한다. |

The purpose of this study was to suggest the design guidelines for healthcare facilities for the elderly. D healthcare facility for the elderly in Busan was case studied. Subjects were 34 elderly patients, 35 families, and 36 nurses who were in this facility. The elderly patients and their families were interviewed and the nurses were answered through self-administered questionnaires. Generally, the users of this facility were positively responded to the building and interior design of this facility. Also, the elderly patients and the families were more satisfied with the design of this healthcare facility than the nurses. All users responded the functional aspects and the whole interior design of this healthcare facility positively and the environmental psychological aspects negatively. Also, the nurses responded this facility's ambient environments negatively and the patients and the families positively. The elderly patients and their families wanted to share the inpatient room with 3-6 persons because of their economical conditions and social contacts. Almost half of them preferred to sit down on the floor. Also, they tended to prefer to light interior color, wall papers, and the familiar and home-like environments. |
