어린이를 위한 과학관은 직접적인 지식전달보다는 과학에 대한 친근감의 부여가 가장 중요하며, 그들의 미래 과학교육을 위하여 지적 성장과정의 징검다리 기능을 하여야 한다. 시야를 넓히는 과학적 도구에 대한 경험, 살아있는 곤충과 생명현상에 대한 관찰과 연구, 스스로 실험하고 이해하는 과학현상 등 주어진 학습테마들이 보다 쉽고 재미있게 놀이로 접근되어야만 한다. 즉 과학관의 전시공간은 놀이개념을 도입하여 어린이들의 상상력과 호기심을 자극하면서 비언어적 커뮤니케이션과 상징적 행위의 극대화를 돕는 놀이매체의 장이어야 한다. 다시 말해 어린이과학관은 어린이들의 학습동기를 유발시키는데 필수요소인 놀이개념이 전시공간의 디자인에 적극 도입되어야 한다. |

It became new social interest for children to have their own appropriate physical, mental, social environment as one independent identity. In these social atmosphere, new design method and standard of children's residence, education, playing environment which can fill their desire. When home and school are the first places to meet the world and learn, museum and science hall are the representing places to provide education and entertainment, especially to preschoolers, they are the prior education system. it is the most important these science halls to give children potential familiarity of science rather than direct knowledge. Also these places should be stepping stones of the process of intellectual growth as foundation stones for future science education. On this research i will provide a direction to space planning of children' science hall, extended to children' museum studying display producing of playing conception, the necessary element of children's physical, mental, social behavior development process. |
