개인의 차원을 넘어 다수의 일반 관람객에게 개방되는 근대적 의미를 가진 미술관 건축은 비교적 짧은 역사를 가진 건축 유형이며 길지 않은 역사에도 불구하고 상당히 다양한 양상을 보여주고 있다.
미술관이라는 건축 유형이 갖는 가장 근본적인 기능 중의 하나는 문화, 사회, 예술사 등 여러 측면에서 중요하다고 간주되는 예술 작품을 보관 전시하고 이를 사람들에게 관람시키는 역할이라고 할 수 있다. 특히 전시라는 기능을 중심으로 볼 때 미술관은 전시물과 관람객간의 공간적 교류를 위한 장소이며 이러한 교류는 특정한 종류의 정보나 메시지의 발생과 교환을 전제로 하므로 이를 광의의 의미에서 지식의 생산이라고 정의할 수 있을 것이다. 미술관과 관련된 공간 형성의 작업은 공간의 구성방식을 통해 지식을 형상화하고 구체화하는 작업 즉 지식의 공간화를 위한 작업이라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 전제는 이를 위한 다양한 형태적 대응이 있다는 것을 의미하며 동시에 개개의 미술관에서 관람객이 인식하는 공간적 경험의 다양함을 의미하기도 한다. |

One of the basic functions of the museum architecture type could be the role to keep and display the art works regarded as being important in many respects like culture, society, art history, etc., and to be opened to the people. Especially in view of the displaying function, museum is the place for the spatial interchanges between exhibitions and viewers. Such interchanges are on the assumption that occurrence and exchanges of the special information and messages, and could be defined as a production of knowledge in a broad sense. Space formation work of museum is to make knowledge shape and concrete namely it could be the work for spatiality of knowledge. It means that there are various morphological concepts, and diverse spatial experiences of viewer's perception from each museum as well.
Studies of museum space structure of today have been accomplished main stream of analysis on the basic of standard, at the same time studied space structure though the historical stream.. But these studies can not cover every concent in explaining various space structure, so this study tries to analize the space structure of the museum applying many spatial concepts and to use Space Syntax theory applized analysis and spatial correlation analysis. |
