이 연구는 디지털 건축의 의미가 재정의 되어야 한다는 비판적인 시각에서 출발하였다. 그 의미는 컴퓨터 기반의 건축 디자인 연구가 디자인 연구의 범위 안에 위치해야하기 때문에 재정의 되어야 한다. 디지털 건축의 의미는 디지털 모델의 특징과 혼동되어 왔다. 그래서 우리는 디자인 사례에서 디지털 건축이 나타내는 특성을 평가하고, 그 의미를 명확하게 한 뒤, 궁극적으로 디지털 건축을 구성하는 프레임워크를 제안한다. 이 연구는 학설을 제안하는 것도 디자인 관례의 경향에 대해 논의하는 것이 아니라 디지털 건축의 구조에 대해 제안하는 것이다. 우리는 물리적인 실제 건축을 분석하고, 디지털 건축의 대한 개념을 명확하게 할 것이다. 디지털 건축이 실제 디자인 사례뿐 아니라 디자인 연구의 매개체의 지위를 얻기 위해, 사이버 건축은 과장되고, 현학적인 전문용어가 되어왔다. 이제까지와는 달리, 물리적 대응물과 디지털 모델의 표현은 본질적으로 다른 역할을 가져야 한다고 주장한다. 결과로써 디지털 건축의 가장 중요한 성질로써 "process-ability"를 제안한다. 디지털 건축의 생산과 소비를 용이하게 하기 위해, 최근 정보 기술 분야로부터 시맨틱 웹, 온톨로지 라는 개념을 도입했다. 디지털 건축을 통합한 시스템 건축을 시맨틱 웹의 개념으로 설명한다. 인터넷상에서 생산하고 소비하는 디지털 건물 제품의 적용 구조(framework)에 대해 제안한다. |

This study starts from a critical thinking that the meaning of digital architecture may or should be redefined in order for the research in computer aided architectural design to situate itself within the realm of design studies. The meaning of digital architecture has been confused with the characteristics of the digital model in a sense. Thus, we criticize the nature of digital architecture revealed in design cases, then move to its definitions, and finally propose a framework of building digital architecture. This research is not to suggest an ism or even to discuss the trends of design practise, but to propose a structure of digital architecture. We analyze the differences between physical architecture and digital model, and finally formulate the concept of digital architecture. As a result, we propose the "process-ability" as the most important nature of the digital architecture. |
