동대자 유적은 평면과 규모를 알 수 있는 지금까지 확인된 거의 유일한 삼국시대의 주거건축 유적이라는 점에서 한국건축사, 특히 주거사에서 지니는 의미가 크다. 본 연구는 이러한 동대자 유적을 대상으로 그 건축적 특성을 고찰함으로서 삼국시대 고구려 건축, 특히 주거건축의 모습을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 삼았다. 그 결과 동대자 유적이 지니는 특성은 다음과 같다.
배치에 있어서는 채의 분화특성을 지니며, 일정한 계획에 따라 주?부의 건물을 배치하고 건물들은 기단을 공유하거나 회랑으로 연결되는 특성을 보인다. 발굴된 세 채의 건물 중 중앙의 건물터만이 비교적 잘 남아있다. 중앙 건물터의 평면은 벽으로 둘러싸인 동?서 두 개의 室과 그 사이의 좁은 통로, 그리고 주변을 둘러싼 퇴로 구성되어 있다. 東?西室의 내부에는 ㄱ자형의 쪽구들이 설치되어 있다. 구들과 아궁이의 구성, 출토유물과 벽의 구조 등으로 보아 西室은 취사와 가사노동을 겸하는 침실로, 東室은 대청의 기능을 겸하는 침실 등 주거용도의 건물로 추정된다. 구조에 있어서는 東?西 두 실의 벽을 따라 구성되는 구조틀과 외곽 기둥들에 의해 구성되는 구조틀을 기본으로 하고 있다. 한편 기초 구조로 보아 東室은 기둥을 세우는 일반적인 구조 외에 귀틀집, 또는 귀틀 위에 기둥을 세우는 구조 등 여러 가지 구조로 추정해볼 수 있다.
결국 동대자 유적은 삼국시대 고구려의 궁실을 포함한 상류계층의 주거건축으로서 발해 상경용천부의 침전터 등 시기적으로 가까운 주거건축과 유사성을 지닌다. 그러나 시기적으로 거리가 먼 조선시대의 주거건축과는 다른 특성을 보이고 있어 시대에 따른 주거건축의 변화상을 잘 보여준다고 할 수 있다. |

The Dongdaeja vestiges in Jian is the only dwelling one of Three-Kingdom period in Korea. Therefore, it is very important in the studies on the architectural history of Korea. This study has the purpose that studies on the architectural characters on Goguryo' dwelling through the Dongdaeja vestiges. The results as follows ;
Three buildings were excarvated in this vestiges. The arrangement of buildings has the character as block plan, the main and the secondary buildings were arranged by a prescribed plan. The central building has the floor plan that is consist of two rooms, a throughfare between the two rooms, and a corridor enclosing the rooms. In the structure, this building has twofolded structural frames. The on is as the wall of two rooms, the other is the structural frame which made by the columns of the corridor. The architectural characters of the Dongdaeja dwelling were succeeded by the one of Balhae Kingdoms. But the dwelling of Joseon Dynasty is very different from that. Therefore, the Dongdaeja dwellings shows a change course of the Korean dwellings according to the times. |
