요약1 Because structures such as latticed domes consist of many members, it is necessary to solve the large scale simultaneous equations to analyze the structural behaviors. Therefore, it is not efficient and economical that we solve those equations by the general way as before. Also when the multi-degeneration of rank occurs around bifurcation point in the stiffness matrix of system, it is difficult to survey post-buckling path. For those reasons, modal analysis is introduced in order to reduce the number of variables and make it easy to examine the characteristics of geometrically non-linear buckling behaviors of latticed spherical domes. Although it is very difficult to select the necessary eigen modes from total eigen modes obtained from system matrices, we can obtain eigen modes in consideration of variation of loading modes and eigen values. For the purpose of adjusting the accuracy of used numerical technique and program, we compare the results by modal analysis with ones obtained by non-linear analysis.
