Recently, many researches have been conducted in order to solve vibration problems on tall buildings, and the one of these efforts is vibration control which uses some devices in the building structures. Vibration control can be categorized as "passive" and "active"depending on its energy consumption form.In this research, three different types of active control algorithms are considered for 20-story shear building model, and the following studies are performed for the case that the actuator is assumed to be attached on a story. Active vibration control algorithms such as Linear Optimal Control, Pole Assignment method, Instantaneous Optimal Control are applied to the shear building, which is modeled as generalized control force applying building, and algorithm characteristics are investigated by applying to the buildings with active tendon and active mass damper. |
