The aim of these studies are to systematize the evaluations for the design of architectural works and to establish its method. The attempt was made in these studies to prove that; in effect, they could be utilized as a scale in evaluating architectura, design and as the essential elements in the architectural composition. The critical evaluation has its ultimate significance in increasing the efficiency of the physical and psychological activities which the formation of the architectural space gives to the humanbeing. First, the architectural critics, in the paper, are observed in what elements concerning the process of designing they are interested, and how they practically dealt with. Hence, it can be said that the scope of their interset distribution itself is in effect, that of the criticism of the architectural design, and include all the essential elements in the architectural composition. The necessity of the evaluation of the architectural design is gradually increasing as the necessary functions of the architecture become more diversified and complicated. In reality, however, the evaluation of the architectural design does not keep the same pace with the continual development of architecture, and more-over it is being produced with much ambiguity and dogmatism, mostly in haphazard fashion. |
