¿ä¾à2 Recently, the number of individuals relocating to rural areas or pursuing farming as a lifestyle has increased, with natural environments and landscapes emerging as key determinants in their decision-making process. However, prior research has predominantly treated landscapes as one of several factors, lacking a comprehensive analysis of how the specific characteristics of rural and fishing village landscapes influence satisfaction among these individuals. This study aims to address this gap by analyzing the impact of agricultural and fishing village landscapes on the satisfaction of 200 individuals who relocated to Namhae County, Gyeongsangnam-do, through a structured survey. The findings reveal that 44% of respondents identified natural and cultural landscapes as the primary motivation for their relocation. Satisfaction-importance analysis indicated that ¡®harmony of landscape elements,¡¯ ¡®naturalness and ecological value,¡¯ and ¡®healing, leisure, and relaxation¡¯ ranked highest in satisfaction. The Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) results showed that while ¡®harmony of landscape elements¡¯ and ¡®naturalness and ecological value¡¯ were rated high in both importance and satisfaction, ¡®cleanliness¡¯ and ¡®environmental pollution management¡¯ were areas requiring urgent improvement. Furthermore, regression analysis demonstrated that ¡®harmony of landscape elements,¡¯ ¡®naturalness and ecological value,¡¯ ¡®experiential and educational value,¡¯ ¡®traditionality,¡¯ and ¡®cleanliness¡¯ significantly influenced the overall satisfaction of rural migrants. This study contributes to the empirical understanding of how rural and fishing village landscapes shape satisfaction among individuals relocating to these areas. It highlights the critical role of landscape management and its integration with rural migration policies, offering valuable insights for promoting sustainable development and enhancing the quality of life in rural communities.
