¿ä¾à2 The Urban Regeneration New Deal project, totaling 50 trillion won over five years and designated in over 500 locations nationwide, has been primarily focused on implementing public projects feasible within the project period. This study analyzes the changes in residents¡¯ satisfaction during the project execution process in the Sadang 4-dong Urban Regeneration New Deal project area, given the increased interest in the Living Lab approach, enabling resident-led project initiatives. Initially, a three-stage Living Lab process?planning, execution, and evaluation?was established, utilizing the structured governance system of urban regeneration areas to consider resident demands and local characteristics, thereby selecting and implementing necessary projects. Based on the outcomes of the three-stage Living Lab process, the analysis of resident satisfaction yields the following results: Firstly, a notable increase in pedestrian satisfaction with the installed crosswalk shelters was observed throughout the stages of the Living Lab process. Secondly, improvement suggestions for public spaces were relatively diverse during the planning phase, yet as the process moved through the execution and evaluation phases, a tendency towards emphasizing protection from adverse weather conditions became prominent. Lastly, requests related to advertisement boards showed a shift from lifestyle information, weather updates, and resident advertisements during the planning and execution phases to weather updates, lifestyle information, and urban regeneration news during the post-operation evaluation phase. This study contributes to the significance of urban regeneration governance by employing Living Lab governance and documenting the entire Living Lab process categorized into planning, execution, and evaluation stages, serving as a case study.
