The aim of this paper is to conduct basic research for planning urban high-techindustrial complexes analyzing the physical characteristics. Through the review ofprior researches, 3 key planning factors were derived: Distance from the city center,complex usage, and spatial connectivity and network. The physical characteristics ofthe cases were analyzed focusing on those planning factors. The results of theanalysis are as follows: First, about 48% of urban high-tech industrial complexes inKorea are isolated from the city center. Second, no sufficient ¡®neighborhoodfacilities¡¯ were provided, and industrial usage was found in the area for ¡®supportingfacilities¡¯. Third, no sufficient spatial connection and network are provided due tothe green buffer zone and barriers. |
