¿ä¾à2 The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the user preference of natural elements that can be introduced indoors to improve the indoor environment to understand the characteristics. Literature review and questionnaire survey were conducted to understand the preference characteristics for introducing indoor natural elements.
First, in order to understand the biophilic design elements and expression methods applicable to the indoor environment, previous studies on biophilia and biophilic design are investigated and analyzed. Through this, the questionnaire consisted of preference items of six natural elements (light, plant, animal, water, stone and soil, air and other elements).
Second, through the analysis results of previous studies, research tools are developed, and indoor natural element preferences and needs are investigated and analyzed for adults in their 20s and 50s. For the analysis of this survey, frequency analysis and descriptive statistics analysis were conducted using the statistical analysis program SPSS Statistics 25.
The results of the survey are as follows: First, the preference for the indoor introduction of indoor light, plants, water, and air was above average. As for the introduction method, it was found that direct introduction such as natural lighting and natural plants was most preferred. Second, it was found that the preference for animal, stone, and soil elements was generally lower than that of other indoor applicable natural elements.
