This study is targeting Gojeong-ri, Yeonsan-myeon, Nonsan-si, Chungcheong nam-do, called Jaesil(ritual house) village of Gwangsan Kim clan. The goal of this study is to derive the characteristics of spatial placement through the analysis of the distribution of ritual facilities and housing lands. Based on the distribution period of the ritual facilities, the ¡®Geojeongteo¡¯ was formed in the order of building ? cemetery ?building, and it is analyzed that the ¡®Wongojeong¡¯ was formed in the order of buildings from the graveyard of the residents of the ¡®Geojeongteo¡¯. Research shows that ¡®Geojeongteo¡¯ is sustained from family branching while ¡®Wongojeong¡¯ is sustained for Jaesil management. And it could be clearly seen that this spatial placement was formed over the centuries and maintained the function of Jaesil Village. In order to sustain identity as Jaesil Village, the ritual space should be treated as a cultural space that is shared and transmitted together. Furthermore, it is argued that the functions of the housing complex including the ritual facilities (grave station, shrine, and Jaesil), which are the elements of the space placement, and the curtilage district, must be preserved. |
