현대 도시공간은 근대 도시계획의 차량중심 계획으로 인해 보행공간에 대한 고려는 높지 않았다. 그러나 최근 보행의 중요성이 강조되면서 보행로의 확장 및 안전성 강화 등을 통해 걷기 좋은 보행공간을 조성하려는 보행관련 사업과 연구들이 진행되고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 이러한 과정 속에서 보행자의 인지과정이 간과되고 있다고 판단되며, 보행자의 관점에서 보행만족도에 영향을 주는 공간 요소 및 이에 대한 보행자의 인지가 보행만족도에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구가 필요하다고 본다. 따라서 본 연구는 보행자의 환경인지와 관련된 보행로의 물리적인 요소 도출, 보행자가 이를 어떻게 인지하는지 그리고 보행만족도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 실증적으로 분석하는 것에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 문헌고찰 및 서울시 가로수길과 서래로를 대상지로 한 현장조사와 설문조사를 바탕으로 분석 하였다. 연구결과로는 보행만족도에 영향을 미치는 면으로 '보행로면', '차로면', '건축물입면'이 보행자의 인지와 태도에 모두 유의한 결과로 나왔다. 또한 각각의 면을 구성하는 물리적 구성요소들 중 보행자의 만족도에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 요소로는 불법 주·정차 차량, 보도 포장 상태, 가로등, 차로와 보도와의 단차 등 대체로 보행자가 걸을 때에 이동성 및 보행의 안전에 관련한 요소로 확인되었다. |

Due to automobile-oriented planning emphasized by modern urban planning, contemporary urban space failed to pay attention to pedestrian spaces. Along with emphasizing the importance of walking in contemporary planning, however, projects and research works to create pedestrian friendly environments take place through the expansion of sidewalk, the enforcement of walkability, and others. As little research have looked cognition process by pedestrian, it is necessary to conduct research about pedestrian cognition and satisfaction on the physical element of pedestrian space. This research aims to draw the physical element of pedestrian space, identify how the pedestrians cognize such elements and finally analyze the impact. To do this, we conducted literature review, field study on Garosu-Gil and Seorae-ro, and a questionnaire survey. Survey results revealed that ground plane, roadside and building wall statically influence the degree of pedestrian satisfaction. Physical elements influencing pedestrian satisfaction are illegal parking, pavement condition, street light, and the curb which are also related into walkability and walking safety. |
