Creative designers and artists from late 50 s to 60 s manufactured Pop Art Furniture as a new concept that imports Pop Art Furniture s visual elements, esthetic concepts, and popular taste that was built up in post-war in America and England. The Pop Art Furniture is developed in such ways as ; design with emphasis on its visual elements, design with disposable and consumable style, and design with a focus on objectiveness. Pop Art Furniture is characterized as the pursuit of unrestricted forms, symbolical functions, combination of light and bright colors, and introduction of various materials. Pop Art Furniture expands the area of furniture design from functional daily life to the Art, just like Pop Culture escalated to the Art. The fact that Pop Art Furniture is endured with formative and expressive characters that are going one step forward from the concept of functionalism illustrates its artistic value and weakness in function at the same time. However, Pop Art Furniture contributes to the quality of people s life by acting an esthetic and independent role in the spaces; and esthetic aspects could be considered as one of most important concepts in design field.
