¿ä¾à2 In this study the physical and mechanical properties of boards, of which the density is 0.7g/§¨, made with wood and recycled particle were investigated. Urea formaldehyde (UF) resin was used as an adhesive. Boards were made at different press temperatures(160, 170 and 180¡É) and press times(3, 4 and 5 min.).1) The results are as follows. Density profile of wood particle board has steeper slope than that of recycled particle board. Modulus of rupture (MOR) of wood particle board is higher than that of recycled particle board. MOR of wood and recycled particle board increases, as press temperature and time increase. Internal bonding strength of wood and recycled particle board increases, as press temperature and time increases. Internal bonding strength is higher in wood particle board than in recycled particle board. Thickness swelling and water adsorption of wood particle board are lower than those of recycled particle board. Thickness swelling and water adsorption of wood and recycled particle board decrease, as press temperature and time increase.
