¿ä¾à2 The possibility of manufacturing high value-added products from domestic small logs was investigated on this study. The BOF(Best Opening Face) simulator was used to estimate th ¥å lumber yields for small logs from 10cm- to 20cm-diameter with length of 180cm. It was assumed that lumbers produced from each log were edge-glued to make a blank. The numbers and sizes of blanks required to manufacture buffet, table, and chair were¥å estimated by the BLANKS simulator. Lumber yields of small logs ranged tram 49.75% for 10cm-diameter log to 80.8% for 20cm-diameter log and part yields of blanks tram 75.7% for table to 83.5% for buffet. Therefore, total part yields of 20cm-diameter log were estimated as 42.8%, 51.4%, and 53.9% for tabl, buffet, and chair, respectively.
