최근 들어 청소년 대상 범죄로 인한 사회적 불안감 확산과 자동차 중심 사회의 진전으로 인해 초등학생을 학교까지 태워다 주는 통행이 증가하고 있다. 이러한 현상은 어린이의 운동부족과 비만, 불필요한 교통에너지 소비, 부모의 경제활동 제약 등 다양한 사회문제의 원인이 되고 있다. 이에 따라, 본 연구는 초등학생의 비동력 독립통학 비율이 높은 근린과 낮은 근린에 대한 형태학 기반의 사례연구를 통해 근린의 물리적 환경이 초등학생의 통학통행에 영향을 미치는 요인을 고찰하고, 그 과정을 DSR 모델로 구축했다. 연구 결과, 비동력 수단 선택은 블록의 크기, 보행 네트워크의 연결성, 학교의 개방성 등에 의해 결정되는 보행경로의 우회도와 밀접한 관련이 있으며, 독립통행 여부는 차량 통행량 및 속도, 통학 시 도로 횡단 수, 도로의 폭, 주차환경 등에 영향을 받는 교통 안전성과 밀접한 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 향후 초등학교 설계 및 적정입지 선정과정과 초등학교를 중심으로 한 근린환경 설계에 활용 가능할 것으로 기대된다. |

Recently, parents’ driving children to school is increasing due to anxiety about the crime and traffic accident, which causes various social problems, such as children’s inactivity and obesity, constraint of economic activity of parents, and increase of transportation energy consumption. Against this backdrop, this study examined the relationship between neighborhood environment and Non-motorized and Unaccompanied Trip to School (NUTS) through Morphological Case Study and DSR (Driving force?State?Respond) Model. The result indicates that non-motorized trip is associated with directness of pedestrian routes derived from block size, connectivity of pedestrian network, and openness of school, and unaccompanied trip is related to traffic safety caused by traffic volume and speed, number of crossing, road width, and parking environment. In conclusion, it is expected that the findings of this study can be applied to a neighborhood planning based on elementary school, as well as a site selection and design for elementary school. |
