The purpose of this paper is to provide basic information about the improvement of the Housing Redevelopment Plan. The comments on the above plan by the Joint Committee of Architecture & Urban Planning in the City of Incheon has been analyzed. This paper selected 43 sites among 57 sites submitted to the Committee and passed during the period from 2005 to 2008. The recommendation are following ; first, securing of visual openness must be proposed to improve the quality of life and environment. And, balanced layout of the open spaces should be recommended by connecting to the walking and open space. As a communication space for the citizens, community space is required. Second, the plan should be made with understanding of the existing urban structure pattern during the preparation stage of the redevelopment plan and with consideration of the connection to other residential zoning areas. Finally, the feasibility of disturbed areas should be reviewed with consideration of the enhancement of the rationality of land use and the connection with other areas. |
