This study aims to suggest the planning concept and the arrangement type of community facilities in apartment complexes to revitalize the community. This research classified the space functions into two groups(indoor community facilities and outdoor service spaces) in the first step. In the second step, the public spaces were classified into five types, based on their main functions (management office, community facilities, neighborhood shopping center, park and playground). In the final step, the findings from the second step and the survey of residents¡¯ preferred locations in five public spaces were drawn together. Then, this study proposed eight types of the connectivity models. It is suggested that the connectivity models presented in the paper can revitalize the community activities in the modern multifamily housings. |
