¿ä¾à2 Among the 83 years of Introductory Education history in Korea, first 40 years were under Japanese control and the remaining 43 years have been from our own initiative. Therefore, it is no wonder we can still see some Japanese autocratic evidences in our educational system today. Now, we need new classroom environment in accordance with the changing the education aspect to the democratic education from the Japanese absolute education. But, there are some difficult problems which can not be solved easily for realizing the new education. We can trace two factors in this phenomenon: the number of children per class and the lack of furniture equipments which affect to form the character and behavior of the children. Since the lower grades child, who has entered first organized society out of its home, is usually affected most by the educational environment, we have to provide a functional and multi-purpose space in order that all the learning activities and school life cna be performed in each classroom, emphasizing home-like classroom environment. Our lower grades children have been studying in a same classroom as higher grades children disregarding these peculiarities and it caused serious troubles in their development. Education for the lower grades today requires various classroom activities according to a new educational line and attaches a great importance to educational experience through school life and presents a need to study and improve classroom environment.
