요약2 This phenomenological descriptive study is about experience of psychiatric nurse who received aggressive behaviors by psychiatric ward patients. The subjects of study were 23 psychiatric nurses employed at 2 psychiatric ward in hospitals, located in the Seoul/Guri region. Signs & symptoms of aggressive behaviors are anxiety or anger status(11), mood of intense(10), increased of needs(9), argue(8), and refuse of treatment(3). Types are physical activities (33), verbal aggression(22), damage to property(19), and threatening(7). Coping stratigies are request for help(21), limit activities(11), explanation and persuasion(6), medication(5), secure the space(5), ventilation(5), listening(3), relieve tension (2), observation(2), and ignorance(2). Result of aggressive behaviors are negative attitude of patients(20), low selfesteem of the task(8), demotivation about the task(8), understanding of patients(5), improve attention about aggressive behaviors(4), and self-reflection(3). Helpful methods for emotions are ventilation(10), self-reflection(5), resolve by time(4), understands(3), resignation(2), hobbies(2), and apology from patients(2). They had their own aggressive behaviors guideline based on their experiences. In conclusion, with education from experiences psychiatric nurse should improve coping stratigies and systemical care programs for attacked psychiatric nurses should be developed.
