¿ä¾à1 3D breast shapes of thirty-six women were analyzed to develop well-fitted brassiere for middle-aged women wearing 80A size brassiere. Important shape parameters relevant to the essential design factors are extracted by Factor Analysis. Breast size and curvature of under breast were selected as variables to be classified further for the suitable pattern design of brassiere cup, front panel and wire. Critical values of the volume of breast and curvature of under breast were provided for the multi-step cluster analysis. Equations for the determination of cluster were also calculated using the discriminant analysis. Effective processes for the development of well-fitted brassiere were suggested using the actual 3D data obtained in this study.
