Unused energy sources like underground water, river water and exhausted heat from subway, have been used for the conservation of energy and earth environment. Thermal condition of subway space was examined for the basic materials of utilization of exhausted heat from subway by measuring air temperatures, air humidities, air velocities, wall temperatures etc. The air temperature at ventilation tower was about 15oC higher than outdoor air temperature in winter. This temperature difference seems to be sufficient for utilization as a heat source of heat pump. Moisture absorption was little during air inlet and air outlet in subway tunnel, so there are little possibility of enthalpy decrement according to air humidity decrease. As operation of ventilation fan scacely inflenced on the air velocity in tunnel, fan capacity increase for more heat recovery in ventilation tower will not have problem. Generally, heat movement is formed from tunnel air to tunnel wall. This phenomenon seems to be one of the reason for gradual air temperature increase of subway space. |
