In this paper a new toun is planned. It is within easy commuting distancd of new employment. The area is situates where land is still comperatively cheap, and is so big (1,200 hectars), that land development unit costs can be kept low. Most of the area, however, is designated as a green belt.Two main objectives are envisaged in planning this new town, which encompasses a planned population of approxi-mately 180,000 inhabitants to create an urban magnet which may help to relieve the pressure on Seoul proper, and through detailed city planning to make to possible and employment together in new surroundings which also provide schools, shopping centers, health centers, health centers and other aminities of communal life. |
